The Golgotha Calvary site , located just outside Jerusalem’s northern wall near the Damascus Gate, has been revered for centuries as the likely site of the Crucifixion. Although natural erosion has altered the hill’s resemblance to a skull, its profound significance remains. Biblical accounts suggest Jesus was crucified at the hill's base, close to a city gate, allowing many to witness the inscription Pilate placed on the cross.
