This fragment rock comes from the Cenacle in Jerusalem, the sacred Upper Room where Jesus spent His final hours before His Passion. Venerated as the site of the Last Supper, this is where Jesus instituted the Eucharist and the priesthood, washed the feet of His apostles, and appeared after His resurrection.
It is also the place where Mary and the apostles received the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, marking the birth of the Church.
